Ana Yelken is an international consulting company that has developed two sailing and water sports centre projects abroad (Yelken Yacht Club – 2013 and Tolkun Yacht Club – 2016) and operates two centers in Istanbul and one residential sailing camp in the south of Turkey, Datca. Every year, Ana Yelken operates for 267 days in these centres and annually 500 new youths attend the summer programs. In pursuit of this, 150 new youth attend the winter programs every year. Our sailors on average win 68% of the medals awarded in Turkey.
Ana Yelken was established by Tolga Rangavis, Fatih Ozmen and Necdet Gursel in 2010. This team, with over 25 years of experience, have great roles in almost all of the international success stories of Turkey sailing. They have represented Turkey at the Olympic games and all other international sail races. This includes the following successes:

He started sailing in Istanbul Sailing Club Sailing School in the summer of 1990. His past successes and the medals he has won made him a member of the national sailing team. He was educated in Marmara University School of Physical Education and Sports. He coached the Turkish Olympic Team between 2000-2008 in accordance with the training he received from Dr. Malte Philipp, former German Sailing Federation head coach. He coached the Olympic national team during 2004 and 2008 Olympiads. His sailors have experience success in attending both of the Olympiads. He received “Excellence in Sports” reward from the Prime Ministry Directorate of Youth and Sports and “Coach of the Year” reward from Turkish Sailing Federation. Using all of his professional coaching and sailing experience, Fatih Ozmen educates coaches and managers on behalf of the board of education of Turkish Sailing Federation since 2001. Also, he has established 4 of the biggest sailing schools in Turkey since 2004. He has succeeded at “ICDC – International Camp Director Course” which he achieved before the International Camping Congress in Sydney – Australia in 2013. Amongst other talents he is an “International Camp Director” and the General Secretary of Turkish Camping Association.
He started sailing in Istanbul Sailing Club Sailing School at the summer of 1990. He has represented Turkey for the national teams in the world, European, Balkan championships and Mediterranean Games with great success. In 1997, he was the national champion of Turkey in 470 class. He graduated from Marmara University School of Physical Education and Sports, coaching department, sailing branch. He received his MA degree from Istanbul Trade University, Business Administration Department. he received from Dr. Malte Philipp, former German Sailing Federation head coach. He was the head of the Olympic Team as the first Turkish coach participating in this area in 2008 Beijing Olympics. He was the director of Istanbul Sailing Club Sailing School between 2008 – 2010 and since 2010, he has been continuing his work at Ana Yelken. He attended the “ICDC – International Camp Director Course” that was made before the International Camping Congress in Sydney – Australia in 2013 and now he is an “International Camp Director”.
He started sailing at a young age in Samsun Sailing Club. Countless times he succeeded in optimist class. He continued his career at Istanbul Sailing Club after joining the national team. He succeeded as an Olympic sailor under the tuition of Dr. Malte Philipp, German Sailing Federation head coach. After his sportsmanship career, he started working as the Istanbul Sailing Club optimist racing team coach in 2003. Subsequent to the degrees and national team successes his sailors had won, he continued his career as the laser class coach after 2008. Since 2008, his sailors have reached great successes as the result of his studies and his olympic experience. Necdet is the most exceptional coach who has achieved global success thanks to the championships his sailors have won in three different categories.
